Cold Springs Golf & Country Club - Cold Springs Placerville, California

Golf at Cold Springs

Play all year round at the picturesque Cold Springs golf course, located near Folsom and in Placerville. You’ll enjoy a setting where there are more trees than people and where you can walk amongst oaks and pines instead of backyards – our course helps you get back to nature and doesn’t challenge you to avoid hitting houses like at many private clubs. Plus, you’ll likely spot deer, wild turkeys and other wildlife as you make your way around the course.

Cold Springs began as a nine-hole course in 1961, with a second nine designed by architect Bert Stamps and integrated in 1978. Test your golf skills on our well-groomed fairways lined with trees and check your short game around and on our sharply sloping greens. Sacramento Magazine even called two of our par-fives “among the top 18 holes” in Northern California.

One of the keys to golf – whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player – is practice. To that end, we’ve created three practice holes that allow players of all skill levels a chance to hone their games and lower their scores. The extra three holes also give us more options if one or more of our regular holes needs special maintenance – or, we can offer 12-hole rounds when your time is a bit tighter.

We’re extremely proud of Cold Springs and we think you’ll agree that it’s a great, yet fun, challenge to play. Call us today to join and make Cold Springs your home course.

Welcome to Castle Creek Country Club!

Located in Northern San Diego, Castle Creek Country Club is home of the scenic Castle Creek golf course, a PGA approved, 18-hole championship course that provides members and guests with an enjoyable and challenging golf experience at an affordable rate.

Golf Course
Founded in 1948, the par 72 golf course was designed by Jack Daray, whose credits include Olympia Fields Country Club (home of the 2003 U.S. Open). The course provides players with oak-lined fairways, white sand bunkers, undulating greens and intermittent play over Moosa Creek, adding character and challenge to every hole.

Course highlights include a deceptively dangerous 14th hole (Castle Creek's signature), and the very technical up/downhill trio on the 10th, 11th and 12th fairways are considered by many as one of the toughest in the county.

The course is ideal for golfers of all skill levels and offers five different sets of tees ranging from the challenging black tees at 6,638 yards to beginners green tees at 4,706 yards. Several practice areas are available throughout the course and golf lessons and clinics are offered through the pro shop. In addition, tournament packages are available for individuals or organizations looking to host their own event.

The temperate climate and sunny skies of San Diego make this course a year-round golfer’s paradise.

It all started back in 1971 when the late Dee A. Divine first got the idea of turning his family’s 70 acre farmland into a golf course. Much debate was made around the family dinner table. Changing their lives from raising cows to herding golf balls was not a unanimous opinion among the Divine family. Dee won out however as construction finally began in 1972. Sadly Mr. Divine never saw his dream reach its completion as he passed away on November 1, 1976. The Divine family pressed on and completed the construction, and opened for their first day of business on August 16, 1977. Churn Creek Golf Course has stayed in the Divine family and is presently run and managed by Stephen Divine.

There have been many ups and downs over the years that have challenged the Divines and Churn Creek Golf Course. The past few years the Divines have pressed forward with a mission to make this golf course the best of its kind in Northern California. First on the agenda was to bring in a new Greens keeper and Crew. Special attention was needed for the temperamental Bermuda Greens along with heavy maintenance in the fairways, Tee boxes, and Tree trimming. On any given day you will see our crew working hard to meet the challenge. Churn Creek is well on its way to meeting their goals.

Finally a spirit of partnership was formed between the Churn Creek Golf Association and management to produce the best Golf Club and Golf Course of its kind in Northern California. We have a slide show for you presenting staff and club house.

Golf
At the heart of Carmel Valley Ranch's 500 acres, winding through the core of the resort from the valley floor though the foothills and up to significant elevation, is the Carmel Valley Ranch Golf Course. As the only Pete Dye design in Northern California, the 18-hole, par-70 course has earned a reputation for its stunning views, friendly wildlife, tactical challenges and playability. Experience championship-level play at a course rated among the "Best US Golf Resorts" by Travel and Leisure's "World's Best" readers' survey.

In a region known for spectacular golf experiences, Carmel Valley's unique microclimate bathes the course in more than 300 days of sunshine each year, and the location just a few miles from the coast means that temperatures are comfortable, offering ideal playing conditions year-round. Pete Dye designed the course to take advantage of dramatic elevation changes and verdant natural beauty, with the course's two signature holes, 11 and 13, both offering breathtaking drops into the valley. Other holes wind through vineyards, lavender fields, ponds and old-growth oak groves draped in Spanish moss - an ideal habitat for the deer and wild turkey that roam The Ranch.

The course recently underwent a multi-million dollar enhancement, and now features a layout restored to Pete Dye's original design, T1 Bentgrass, enlarged greens and improved tee boxes, and a soaring, renovated Clubhouse.
