Kauri Cliffs has sweeping views of the Pacific ocean from fifteen holes. The remaining inland holes play through wetlands, forest and farmland. It was ranked by Golf Digest as the world's best new course when it opened in 2001.
Make a return journey south to Auckland (the City of Sails) before playing the Alister MacKenzie designed Titirangi golf course set amongst beautiful bushland settings. If travelling to Auckland down the west coast route, via the Waipoua forest, you can take a short bush walk to see Tane Mahuta (New Zealand's largest tree, a 2000 year old kauri). Auckland has a vibrant harbourside setting that is home to an authentic America' s Cup sailing experience and memorable cuisine.
