A little bit of paradise...
Nestled in the gently rolling foothills of the Arkansas Ozarks and surrounded by pristine Greers Ferry Lake lies a little bit of paradise-Eden Isle and the Red Apple Inn.
This island resort and its comfortable country inn create an oasis of serenity in a busy world. Founded over 40 years ago with a vision of gracious country living, the Inn is now owned by Dick and Patti Upton of Aromatique, who have added their own special style.
With touches of the Old World-an early 16th century wrought iron gate, massive wooden doors-blend seamlessly with natural wood, native stone and lush plantings to create a quiet elegance. Our restaurant features fine dining with lovely views in several directions-overlooking the lake, the landscaped patio or the pleasantly shaded breezeway. But the Red Apple is not all rest and relaxation; just outside your door are tennis courts, a golf course, fitness center, the lake and forest trails.
Whether you are bringing your family for vacation or planning a group outing, the Red Apple Inn will be your little bit of paradise.
Our championship 18-hole golf course is one of the loveliest in Arkansas and features panoramic hilltop views of the lake as well as tree-lined corridors. Architect Gary Panks blended the island’s rolling hills, trees, and majestic hilltop vistas into a course that is challenging to the novice and expert alike. Hole #2 was voted the most scenic hole in Arkansas by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in 2006. Our par 71, 6,018-yard course is a fun course to conquer.
For novices, lessons are available from our resident golf pro and those at any level can be outfitted in style in our Pro Shop. Browse in our gift shop for a memento from your stay at the Red Apple.
As a founding member of the Natural State Golf Trail, our natural scenic beauty and year-round mild climate make us a haven for golfers. The 15 courses on The Natural State Golf Trail will challenge your game and embed themselves in your memory banks for seasons to come.
